Beaches
You can’t think of Cornwall without thinking of the stunning coves and beaches. The
stunning and secluded Lantic and Lantivet bays
(https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/cornwall/lantic-bay) are just a short drive away, and
yes, though the walks down to the beaches are at times steep – the experience is well worth
the effort. If you fancy a day in Fowey then it’s well worth visiting Ready Money Cove – a
beautiful little cove often with a floating pontoon
(https://www.cornwall-beaches.co.uk/south-east/ready-money-cove.htm)
A little further afield and you have so many choices such as Polkerris
(https://polkerrisbeach.com/) or Charlestown

others
The Eden Project
The world famous Eden Project is just a short drive away. Now a major visitor attraction,
educational charity and social enterprise The Eden Project is dedicated to demonstrating
and inspiring positive action for the planet. See https://www.edenproject.com/
The Lost Gardens of Heligan
One of Cornwall’s hidden gems, the Lost Gardens of Heligan were discovered and brought
back to life. Located near Mevagissey, the gardens were once lost to time and overgrowth
following World War I, but were rediscovered and meticulously restored starting in 1990,
becoming Europe's largest garden restoration project. https://www.heligan.com/
Fowey
Of course, the reason we love this part of Cornwall is the town of Fowey itself. Wander
through the picturesque and historic streets, enjoy amazing food at a wide range of
restaurants, stroll along to Ready Money Cove, enjoy an ice cream sat on the Town Quay
watching the world go by on the river (just watch out for the Seagulls!). Our happiest days
are just slowly walking through Fowey.
